According to Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number visitors coming to Lam Dong in during the Lunar New Year reached 198,000 people, the highest number ever since.
In comparison with the number visitors of last year, that of this year increased 7,5%. However, the real number could be higher because a big number of visitors stayed with their or relationships or friends, moreover some hotel do not declare the number guest
The number of foreign visitors coming to Lam Dong also reached 18,000 people. 85% visitors to Lam Dong, came to Da Lat
The DaLat flower garden welcomed 57,800 visitors, 27,000 visitors to Prenn waterfall, Love Valley welcomed 36,500 visitors, 26,000 visitors welcomed Golden Valley, Mong Mo Hill welcomed 21,000 visitors.
Especially, tourist attractions in other areas other than Dalat also received a big number of guests. For example, 70,000 people came to Damb’ri waterfall (Bao Loc town), 23,000 people visited Madagui Forest (Da Huoai District)
The main reason for the increase of tourists to Lam Dong during the Tet holidays is because the weather in Da Lat was very nice, also, flower spaces created for Flower Festival 2012 still remained and specially tourists had an opportunity to admire the cherry blossoms in the Lunar New Year.
The Lam Dong tourists increased but other basic services to meet those needs tourists, not occur bedroom shortage, power failure, dehydration, traffic congestion; victims "tight guillotine" customers almost not occur.
